About me
My Name is Daniel Dewald. I was born in 1983 in Germany. I’ve been a C\C++ Developer since 1998 (worked for 7 years in the games industry. I’m currently working at Dräger in Lübeck) as a software engineer and sub project manager.
I am also a Open Source enthusiast. From 2009 to 2011 I’ve been working for the Amarok OSS project. In my free time I do Scuba Diving, Hiking, Photography, Cocktail mixing and Rock climbing. I became a dive instructor (VDST TL*) 2019, an advanced dive instructor (VDST TL**) 2022 and I am a Trimix certified technical diver (DTSA Trimix*) since 2021. In 2023 I also finished my technical dive instructor certification (VDST Nitrox TL**).
This Blog (that exists since 2010) is mostly about me and the work I’m doing and of course content of my hobbies. So you’re going to read mostly Software development stuff here. But I’ll also give a few peaks into my personal life and stuff that might be interesting to some people (like diving or photography topics).
If you want to reach me you can send me an E-Mail (Daniel.Dewald@time-shift.de).
